Tucked against the untouched hills of the Santa Rosa mountain range, historic Old Town Temecula will be the backdrop for the annual Star Spangled 4th of July Parade on the first Sunday of July. Equestrian units, marchers, and floats will travel north on Old Town Front Street from Second Street to Moreno Road. The FREE parade is scheduled to begin promptly at 1 pm. The day’s activities continue with the annual 4th of July Extravaganza at Ronald Reagan Sports Park (2 pm to 10 pm). A fun-filled afternoon and evening include a fun zone for children, food vendors, and a fireworks show at 9 pm. Ronald Reagan Sports Park, 30875 Rancho Vista Road, 951-694-6480.
In Menifee, the fireworks were held on June 26 and everyone enjoyed the brilliant colorful shky!
In Lake Elsinore on July 4 a fireworks display will take place after the game at about 9:00 PM at Storm Stadium – 500 Diamond Dr.
There will also be a free fun zone one hour before the game for the kids. They can run the bases post-game, Kids will announce in the press box and on field, infield drag, bat boy/girl for an inning and a kids fun run from foul pole to foul pole.

Slow Food Temecula Valley is a nonprofit organization, that supports 24 school gardens in our city, bringing healthy fresh food to school children both in the classroom and in the garden. We do this while raising awareness and support for local farms, food heritage and the environment. Slow Food’s board consists of parents, farmers, health and educational professionals, and chefs.
With recent budget cuts, it grows harder for our extraordinary force of teachers to get things done. Asking them to teach yet another course, and in the garden to boot, was only adding weight to their plate. So we got together with the school district, principals, teachers and the PTA to discuss
